Each day will be filled with challenging and exciting work where every day is different. Our Lead Associates are responsible for different departments in the store, Production, Donation Dock, and Sales Floor. In each of these areas of responsibility, you will be giving employees direction while working side-by-side, exceeding customer and donor expectations, building strong working relationships, and a role model of teamwork and Goodwill Values, all while helping the store achieve its productivity and sales goals. This is not like other retail jobs. Sure, we work 40 hours per week like other managers and we are open 7 days a week. But, our products are gently donated items. Items which come in bags, boxes, totes, and in pieces. Items that need to be unpacked, sorted, priced, and displayed. It’s messy. It’s dusty. It can be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. The Store Manager needs to you to display ownership over your department as well as the store in the absence of the Store and Assistant Store Managers. Willingness to display initiative and resourcefulness are crucial skills here. Supporting the mission is a complex job, but you will get a sense of fulfillment like no other. Most importantly, you will get to be a part of a company that is committed to improving our local communities.
