Facilities Director


HS Degree or Equivalents/BA in Facilities Maintenance is preferred, Experienced in Carpentry, Routine Building Maintenance, Basic Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical. Must have a valid driver’s license and insurance. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds as needed, manipulate various work areas (large facilities to small spaces) and have full range of body motion. Experienced with standard preventive maintenance, environmental regulations, mechanical systems, with a working knowledge of cost control and energy efficiency. Must be available 24/7 for emergencies. (Some overnight and/or extended stays may be required). Strong computer skills with good verbal and written communication skills. Strong understanding of contracts and procurement.

Essential/Primary Functions:

  1. Supervise maintenance staff under your supervision
  2. Executes and documents preventive maintenance on all facilities owned and or operated by the agency
  3. Schedules and oversees completion of internal & outsources maintenance and repairs
  4. Provide dry walling, painting and basic repairs at all facilities as needed
  5. Oversees/supervises work of all Maintenance Techs I & II
  6.  Ensures Fire Extinguishers are checked as required and elevator maintenance is timely and accurate
  7. Completes all reporting documentation as required
  8. Ensure properties and equipment is maintained in safe working condition
  9. Responsible for maintaining a tool inventory of all agency equipment under this position
  10. Provides ongoing training for maintenance staff   
  11. Follow and enforce all agency policies and procedures
