Job Exploration Specialist

Qualifications: Bachelors degree and 1 years experience working in social service required. 

Primary Duties:

  1. Perform timely intake interview and develop/maintain individual plan for employment with all consumer.
  2. Maintain caseload size that is both programmatically and fiscally appropriate and ensures that Discovery and Exploration services are completed in an average of 6 weeks 
  3. Develop and maintain good working relationships with referral sources and internal team and provide ongoing communication regarding case activities
  4. Utilize referral information, intake information, job history, local employment market, career exploration tools, and job goals to develop appropriate work assessment sites; whenever possible, personalize assessment sites and use as a potential site for employment
  5. Complete all agency paperwork in timely manner and maintain confidentiality according to agency guidelines
  6.  Attend assessment site with consumer and analyze their abilities, support needs, strengths and challenges on the job
  7.  Actively work with consumer and relevant support persons to determine communication style, transportation needs, job limitations, life skills needs, social supports, and threats to employment and make appropriate recommendations for accommodation or remediation
  8. Maintain average of 3+ new starts each month
  9. Maintain minimum of 90% of clients completing assessment
  10. Other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $30,000 - $34,000 (benefits included)
